Der Garten Kael liegt im oberösterreichischen Steyrtal im Mollner Becken. Der erhöht liegende Garten liegt an einem Nordhang und gibt die Blicke auf das nah gelegene Sengsengebirge frei. Der Übergang von der sanften Hügellandschaft der Voralpen wird durch schroffe Felswände unterbrochen. Dies soll sich auch im Garten widerspiegeln. Minimale Eingriffe gliedern das Gelände. Die Geh- und Sitzbereiche zwischen Haus und Hütte wurden verbunden. Diverse Pflanzsituationen geben Flora und Fauna Spielraum und Nahrung.
The Kael garden lies in the Upper Austrian Steyrtal, in the Molln basin. The elevated garden sits on a north-facing slope and opens up views to the nearby Sengsengebirge. The transition from the gentle hill landscape of the pre-Alps is interrupted by rugged rock faces. This is to be reflected in the garden as well. Minimal interventions structure the terrain. The walking and seating areas between the house and the cabin were connected. Various planting situations give flora and fauna room and sustenance.
